What is the Emirates Chaffeur Service?

Completiung your journey in style, with the Emirates Chaffeur Service
As part of you Emirates Business or First Fare (excluding certain classes, see below) you are picked up from your hotel and whisked to the airport in style.
Booking is very simple, it's part of the app and website and you book your car relative to you planned departure time.
e.g. if your departure is planned for 14:30, you can book from 5 hours to 3 hours before your flight in 15 minute intervals.
Each adult is entitled to their own car and for larger groups mini vans are available.
For our trip, which was the afternoon flight (14:30), I wanted the maximum time in the Emirates Lounge in Dubai Airport but time to enjkoy our last hotel breakfast so I booked for the maximum 4:45 hours prior to departure with a 70 minute expected drive time.
There was definitely enough to do once there!
We booked a single car for us both, allowing for 2 large and a medium suitcase plus hand luggage each.
Unlike the outbound trip there was no confirmation in advance, but we did have an 'emergency' number if needed.
Howver, on the day the driver arrived at 09:35, the typical 10 minutes early, but in a black Mercedes mini-bus.
The hotel doormen directed him where to park, collected our suitcases and ensured he loaded them whilst others said their goodbyes to us and opened the doors.
Real team work and a credit to the hotel and the chaffeur service.
As per the
chaffeur from Dubai to Hotel, but unlike the
chaffeur to Manchester Airport no water was offered, but we'd juest eaten and had a local coffee whilst sat in reception.
Again the journey was a little less sedate than the journey in the UK, not at all helped by an unusual winter rain storm flooding the main roads and we saw the aftermath of several accidents.
We'd have preferred a little slower, wondering if the locals are used to driving in such weather as breaking distance seemed a strange concept to everyone.
Once at the airport we were driven into the business and first class part of the terminal, a dedicated area where first you wheel your suitcase past a few first class desks and then a huge line of business class desks.
They were obviously set up for a lot more passengers than the few that were there then and so it was a fast, efficient service, getting us to security and ultimately the lounge very quickly.
Who can use Emirates Chaffeur Service to Dubai Airport
Anyone travelling on an outbound Emirates flight on a Business (excluding 'Special' fares, but including 'Saver'), First Class has Chaffeur Service included.
There is no mileage limit in the UAE but only adult fares include the Chaffeur Service, but if a family of 4, for example, is travelling, the parents can each book a car and travel with a child or possibly request a mini bus.
How to book Emirates Chaffeur Service to Dubai Airport
If it's included in your ticket then you will see the option to book it when you sign in to the app or website.
As long as you book at least 48 hours before the departure you are fine and you book the pickup time anywhere between 3 and 5 hours before the scheduled departure.
The driver will aim to be with you 10 minutes early so that you are leaving your pickup at the booked time, rather than him arriving at that time.
The Chaffeur Service was included as part of our flights as part of our
itinerary of Abu Dhabi.
How early to book the Chaffeur Service for?
We booked for the almost the maximum 5 hours before the flight, which with a very quick pickup meant we were checking in 3:45 hours pre flight.
Along with the dedicated security, then the train to the departures area, we were probably in the lounge 3 hours before the flight.
There is loads to see and do there so I'd definitely, unless it affects the hotel meals, book as early as possible.
The Emirates Dubai Business Class lounge is an experience in itself and you want to be there ASAP.
Is the Emirates Chaffeur Service Adults only?
Although it is only available on Adult tickets, a child can share with an adult.
However, if a family of 4 books 2 cars an adult HAS to travel in each car.
Can I pay on the day?
No, it must be pre booked at least 48 hours in advance and only available for the relevant tickets.
