After years of finding cash for school tombolas, supplementing student loans, buying cars, and helping our children onto the property ladder, the tide has finally turned. Suddenly, both our time and our budget are our own.

Turning the Page to a New Chapter

For decades, our calendars were dictated by school holidays and the logistical gymnastics of family life. Now, the "holiday target" has changed. While we are occasionally honoured to have our children join us (often with a boyfriend in tow), we are no longer tethered to the school gates.

We have traded the school run for the airport lounge, and we created Empty Nest Travellers to document the results.
