After years of building work Terminal 2 is progressing well and Terminal 1 is being vacated and eventually closed.

With the huge presence easyJet holds at Manchester airport along with Emirates, Etihad Airways Aer Lingus and the rest, Terminal 1 will be far from quiet.
A new pier with Emirates Lounge is rumoured to be being built in Terminal 2 but it's not clear if Terminal 1 will fully close in 2025, or how long Pier B, home to Emirates and easyJet, will remain in use.
