Krakow, Poland
A picturesque medieval city, split into three areas with the, once walled, Krakow Old Town, Kazimierz and the Wawel Castle plus other surrounding areas.
Wawel Castle stands above the Vistula River, above the Wawel Dragon's cave.
Below it you can explore the Old Town and Kazimierz.
The cloth market takes centre stage of the old town, with the streets surrounding it serving tourists with the delights they require.
Souvenir shops abound, as do bars, eateries and more.
Surprisingly some of the restaurants directly on the square offer some of the tastiest yet cheapest food we've had recently on our travels and there are various vodka bars and
fruit vodka bars to sample new drinks around the city.
For the first time visitor to Krakow a
day trip to Auschwitz is a must.
Organised trips are readily available and the guides will educate you in an interesting and informative tour of the camps.
