Munich, Germany
Munich, Lederhosen for the men and Dirndls for the ladies whilst downing large quantities of weissbier by the 1l mass at the Oktoberfest.But that's oinly a small part of Munich, or even the Oktoberfest. A family friendly festival with a huge portion of the space given over to fairgroudn rides, traditional tents and yes the traditional Trachten and tasty beer.
There's also the attractions of a medieval town, the Ratskeller (Town Hall), Englischer Garten and much more all easily explored by a simple to use transport system.
And if you're a fan of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or the Disney Cinderella Castle then a trip to Neuschwanstein Castle to see the actual castle built by King Ludwig II in the late 1800s is a must.
